Before CHRIST died, those who stood around heard HIM say, "It is finished" (John 19:30). In the language JESUS spoke, what HE actually said could be translated, "Paid In Full!" In other words, JESUS allowed our moral debt of holiness to be paid in full by HIM. By HIS sinless life and sacrificial death, JESUS was willing to foot the bill.
Then to prove HE had the moral reserves to actually cover what HE offered to pay for, HE defeated death. Since, the resurrection, JESUS is standing in our midst. Next time you reach for your credit card or checkbook, thank GOD that you are covered when it comes to financing your eternity.

Express your gratitude to the LORD for HIS unmerited mercy in your life. Ask HIM to soften your heart to the gift of salvation that is so easily taken for granted. Ask HIS help to forgive those who have offended you in light of the debt HE has paid in your life.
