What does Rapture Mean?

1. The dead in Christ will resurrect first. (1 Thess 4:16)
2. The living and the resurrected dead will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. (1 Thess 4:17)
3. The rapture will occur during the Parousia. "those who are alive and remain unto the coming (Parousia in greek) of the Lord, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air" (1 Thess 4:15-17)
4. The meeting with the Lord will be permanent. "And so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thess 4:17⁾
