 SHALOM

As a noun, the Hebrew word shalom means "completeness, health, and welfare."

It implies being in harmony with GOD and man.

It also indicates a state of being at ease-not restless, having peace both inwardly

and outwardly, being at rest both spiritually and emotionally.

As a verb, SHALOM means to make peace.

Lessons From Gideon About GOD'S Peace

1.  Experiencing GOD'S peace is possible in times of personal

     crisis.

2.  You cannot live in rebellion against GOD and know GOD'S

     peace in your life.

3.  Gideon found that peace is not found in a place, but in a

      person.

4.  GOD can bring peace to our nation, just like HE did for

      Israel.

Shalom is used in the Bible one time.

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
