Video Projectors

 What does Anamorphic mean?

I am glad you asked.

Anamorphic means that when you start making motion pictures, these pictures can be displayed on a widescreen picture or standard 35 mm film with a non-widescreen native aspect ratio.

A 4:3 display produces an image that has the shape of a square, where a 16:9 ratio produces an image that has the shape of a rectangular.    Most common video projector aspect ratios are 4:3 (XGA & SXGA), 16:10 (WXGA & WUXGA) and 16:9 (standard HDTV, 1080p).
