Psalm 27:4

⁴ One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

David is known to be a man after GOD's own Heart.  David throughout Biblical history had GOD's attention and I believe GOD's  favor too.  There was an unusual amount of faith that David had just as a little boy.  

This faith moved GOD and this action of faith did bless David for a long time.  For we all know that it is impossible to please GOD without faith. Hebrews 11:6  So here we can mention that David as a little boy, pleased GOD with his level of faith. 

Therefore David knew as a little boy, exactly what to desire after.  That being the desire of the beautiful things that only GOD can give.  Also, the gaining of wisdom when coming to GOD's temple.  

When you seek out GOD's way of doing things, you will get wisdom.  Because GOD's way is the High Way!  You automatically gain insight and wisdom of Higher things in the Spiritual Realm when yous seek after GOD, and GOD's way of doing things. 

 GOD's ways are Higher than ours and GOD's thoughts are Higher than we could ever think!  Trust and Believe in GOD, and have FAITH!  Remember, everybody to be like King David.  So, from now on in life we should all have One thing have we desired of the Lord, that we will seek after; that we may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of our life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple.

Why should we desire this one thing? So, we can get major blessings, wisdom and favor from GOD.
