Jeremiah 18:2

1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,

² Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.

These are very unique Bible verses.  The meaning of these Bible verses found in the book of Jeremiah in the Old Testament focus on going to the Potter's House.  It is believed that this is a good example of referring to GOD as the potter, and us as the clay.

We all know about dealing with clay in art class.  However, in these verses GOD can be heard down at the Potter's House.  The Potter's House is where the Potter will mold the clay.  The clay will be molded by the original creator, the Potter which is  GOD.  At this house there would be a cause for Jeremiah the Prophet to hear from GOD.

It is important to realize, that we should be mindful to be still and listen to GOD.  I believe GOD is talking to us, but are we listening to GOD?  We are so distracted from hearing GOD during the week.  However, when Sunday comes we can then hear from GOD through the words of the minister. 

To sum it all up, hearing from GOD, who is the Potter is important in life.  Why, because we are the clay and GOD is the Potter, the creator of the clay.  When we go to church, it is there that we can also hear GOD's words from the ministers of the church. 

These ministers hear from GOD, and then tell us the messages from GOD.  Since we are the clay, we need to hear from the Potter, who is GOD.  GOD knows what we need because he created us   and is molding us.
