Whom God hath raised up - For, as God alone gave him up to death, so God alone raised him up from death.Having loosed the pains of death -
It is generally supposed that this expression means, the dissolving of those bonds or obligations by which those who enter into the region of the dead are detained there till the day of the resurrection.

Why did Jesus die?
A part of the answer to Jesus' death lies in the fact that a just and perfect God could not simply sweep sin under the carpet and go on running a perfect universe.
God must deal with the injustice of sin. Suppose a criminal should come before a judge and that judge would simply excuse a crime of murder, rape, or theft simply because the judge loved the criminal. What would society think of such a judge?
The Bible says: "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right" (Genesis 19:25). Selfishness has a natural consequence that eventually results in death to the innocent (Rom. 6:23).
Jesus, the Judge, assumed the consequence of sin on the part of man, rather than inflict death upon the sinner. That consequence was death.
There is Only One who DIED for You ......That is JESUS CHRIST
To give eternal life to all who believe on Him
Jesus made it plain that rejecting the eternal life he offered would result in the misery of eternity in hell: “Whoever does not believe is condemned already....the wrath of God remains on him” (John 3:18, 36).
But for those who trust Christ, the best is yet to come. “No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).
We will see the all-satisfying glory of God. “This is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3).
For all these reasons and more, Christ suffered and died. Why would you not embrace him as your Savior from sin and judgment, and live with God eternally?
If you are moved to embrace God’s Son in this way, tell God in words like these:
Dear God, I’m convinced that Jesus suffered and died for my sins. I gratefully trust in him now as my Lord and my precious Treasure and the only way I’ll ever receive your forgiveness and your promise of eternal life. Amen.

What Must I Do To Be Saved?
Man is a Sinner, and Sin has Separated him from God!

JESUS rode the donkey into Jerusalem
So, as JESUS rode the donkey into Jerusalem, the crowds were perfectly right to shout “Hosanna!”
They were acknowledging JESUS as their Messiah, as shown in their address “Son of David.”
Theirs was a cry for salvation and a recognition that JESUS is able to save.
Later that day, JESUS was in the temple, and the children present were again shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David!”
(Matthew 21:15).
The chief priests and the teachers of the Law were displeased: “‘Do you hear what these children are saying?’ they asked him.
‘Yes,’ replied JESUS, ‘have you never read, “From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise”’?” (Matthew 21:16).
In saying, “Hosanna!” the people were crying out for salvation, and that’s exactly why JESUS had come.
Within a week JESUS would be hanging on a cross.

Hosanna is a word used in some songs of praise, particularly on Palm Sunday.
It is of Hebrew origin and was part of the shout of the multitudes as Jesus entered Jerusalem: “Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” (Matthew 21:9).
Hosanna is often thought of as a declaration of praise, similar to hallelujah, but it is actually a plea for salvation.
The Hebrew root words are found in Psalm 118:25, which says, “Save us, we pray, O LORD!” (ESV).
The Hebrew words yasha (“deliver, save”) and anna (“beg, beseech”) combine to form the word that, in English, is “hosanna.”
Literally, hosanna means “I beg you to save!” or “please deliver us!”
What is Palm Sunday?
Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey.It falls on the Sunday before Easter Sunday and is therefore, like Easter, a moveable feast (i.e. a religious celebration or observance which does not occur on the same date each year).
Western Christian churches often refer to Palm Sunday as 'The Sunday of the Passion', while Orthodox Christian churches may call the festival 'The Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem'.
